Women Discipling Women
“The people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. Those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many.” (Daniel 11:32-33)
Daniel was an exile in a foreign land and took a stand against the pagan king for what he knew was right. We are exiles in a foreign land that is becoming darker each day. As daughters of the one true God, we must know Him so we can stand firm and take action in these dark times. And the way we know Him, the way He reveals Himself to us, is through His word.
Tuesday, September 13th is the kick-off of our new year of monthly Women Discipling Women Bible studies. This year we will be learning skills to study the Bible personally, to dig deeper into the Word of God that we might know the God of the Word more intimately.
We will be using Jen Wilkin’s book, Women of the Word, to help guide us. Please read chapters 1-8 by Sept. 13. You may purchase a copy off the IDC bookshelf or from Amazon. Colossians will be our text for inductive study. Read this short letter as often as you can before the 13th.
Plan to join us on the 2nd Tuesday evening of every month from 7:00 to 9:15 for our women’s Bible study. Please mark these dates on your calendar now and guard these evenings for a rich time of study and fellowship. We are excited for this year’s study!”
